The Metrics Library allows you to create, customize, and manage compliance-related metrics from your data. These metrics can then be visualized and added to dashboards for deeper insights and reporting.
Accessing the Metrics Library
-
Navigate to the Metrics Library section from the left-hand menu.
-
You will see a list of existing metrics with details such as:
-
Name (e.g., "SAR per Jurisdiction")
-
Type (Row/Bar)
-
Last Updated Date
-
This overview helps you quickly identify and manage existing metrics.
Creating a New Metric
To create a new custom metric:
-
Click Create Metrics at the top-right of the screen.
-
The setup interface will open.
Selecting Your Starting Data
-
Under Data, pick the dataset you want to analyze.
-
Use the search bar to find relevant datasets (e.g., API Requests, Crowdfunding Accounts).
-
Select the dataset as your base for building the metric.
Adding Filters
-
Use the Filter option to narrow down results.
Example: Show only API requests from a specific jurisdiction or timeframe.
This step ensures your metric focuses on the data most relevant to your compliance goals.
Summarizing Data
-
In the Summarize section, select:
-
A function or metric (e.g., Count, Sum, Average).
-
A column to group by (e.g., Country, Transaction Type).
-
-
This allows you to structure data in a meaningful way.
Example: Count of SARs grouped by Jurisdiction.
Visualizing Your Metric
-
Once filters and summaries are defined, click Visualize.
-
The system generates a visualization of your data.
-
Different types of metrics (Row, Bar, etc.) provide flexible visualization options depending on the selected data.
Managing Individual Metrics
For each metric in the Metrics Library, you have additional management options available via the context menu (three dots on the right-hand side of the metric row).
Available Options:
-
Delete
-
Permanently removes the metric from the library.
-
Use this when a metric is no longer needed or has been replaced.
-
-
View Metric
-
Opens the metric to review its configuration and visualization.
-
Useful for auditing or making sure the metric is aligned with compliance requirements.
-
-
Add to Dashboard
-
Integrates the selected metric directly into a dashboard.
-
Recommended for metrics you want to track regularly (e.g., SAR per Jurisdiction).
-
Tip: Regularly update and refine metrics to reflect evolving compliance requirements and operational needs.
