Applying Roles
-
Once a role is created, it can be assigned during User Invitation or updated later for existing users.
-
A single user can hold multiple roles across different modules.
Best Practices
-
Granularity: Create roles tailored to specific job functions (e.g., Compliance Reviewer with view-only access).
-
Segregation of Duties: Avoid granting conflicting permissions (e.g., the same user both preparing and approving compliance reports).
-
Periodic Review: Regularly review roles to ensure access levels remain aligned with responsibilities.
-
Least Privilege: Always start with minimum necessary permissions and expand only as needed.
Example Workflow
-
Create a new role: Compliance Analyst.
-
Assign Module Access → Beyond Compliance.
-
Configure permissions:
-
Dashboard → View Only
-
Requirement → Full Access
-
Metrics → View Only
-
Document Library → View Only
-
Report Management → No Access
-
-
Save role and assign it to new compliance team members during invitation.
