User Management

The User Management feature allows administrators to manage users, roles, and permissions across EMTECH products such as Beyond Compliance, Beyond Sandbox and Beyond Cash. It ensures the right users have the appropriate level of access.

Inviting a New User

To add a new user to your organization’s account:

  1. Navigate to User Management from the left menu.

  2. Click the + Invite User button on the top right.

  3. Fill in the required details:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email Address

    • Role (select from the available roles list, e.g., Compliance User, Beyond Cash Admin).

  4. Click Invite to send the invitation.

📌 Note: The invited user will receive an email to accept and activate their account. Their status will update in the Users tab as Active once they complete the onboarding.

Creating a New Role

Admins can create custom roles to manage access more effectively.

  1. In the User Management screen, go to the Roles & Permissions tab.

  2. Click + New Role.

  3. Enter the following details:

    • Role Name (e.g., “IT Compliance Analyst”).

    • Module Access (choose from: Beyond Compliance, Beyond Cash, Beyond Sandbox, or General).

    • Permissions (select specific permissions to assign).

  4. Once configured, click Create Role.

📌 Pro Tip: Use clear naming conventions for roles (e.g., Compliance Admin, Compliance Analyst etc.,) to make permissions easier to track.

Managing and Editing Roles

  1. In the Roles & Permissions tab, locate the role you want to manage.

  2. Under the Permission column, click See All.

  3. Use the menu (three dots) to:

    • View Role – see assigned users and permissions.

    • Edit Role – update permissions or module access.

    • Delete Role – remove unused or outdated roles.

Setting Permissions

Permissions define the level of access each role has within a module.

  1. When creating or editing a role, select the target Module (e.g., Beyond Sandbox, Beyond Compliance).

  2. Configure access for available features such as:

    • Dashboard Access

    • Task Management

    • Data Management

    • Reports Access

    • Dev Center Keys (for sandbox or live environments).

  3. Assign No Access, Read Access, or Full Access as appropriate.

  4. Click Save Permissions to confirm.

📌 Pro Tip: Start with minimal permissions and scale up as needed to enforce least privilege security best practices.

The User Management feature gives administrators complete control over:

  • Adding and inviting users.

  • Creating and customizing roles.

  • Assigning and adjusting permissions per module.

With this structure, organizations can streamline operations while maintaining secure and role-based access across all EMTECH modules.
